| I wrote the ToL post recently but recently found the discussion over at the official forums. GC makes an appearance on page 4. So what are other druids thinking about potential ToL changes? I found Siobhann of Silver Hand to be pretty insightful when she said, "You're too much of a princess to DPS on XT and Razorscale? Back in BC, it was not an option for healers to stand there picking their noses on Akama. And then there was the obligatory shift out of tree for Leotheras. We used to have to put Boar's Speed on our boots too, to make up for the built-in snare. I sure don't miss being 20% slower than the rest of the raid. And then there are heroics. What geared healer doesn't DPS trash in order to help the run go faster? A priest or shama does it without a second thought. Pallies might think twice about running into melee, but I've seen plenty of holy pallies judge trash. A druid shifts out to speed the run and silently swears at the 6% healing and 150+ spellpower they just gave up to be out of from. You don't need it in a heroic, but it still isn't particularly fun to gimp your heals in order to be able to cast baseline spells you got at level 10." on page 1. | |

| well blizz did make it to where even when out of ToL form as long as ToL is talanted you will have reduced costs for your healing spells.
So with that being said do resto druids have the capability of other healers to dps/heal not aswell but it could be worse off. I am not disturbed by it. Btw last time I checked when a holy pally, holy/idsc priest or a resto shammy tries to dps they are lucky to break 1500 dps just like us so no we are nt gimped more than them.

You do get the mana reduction, but you lose your spellpower modifier from spirit and the ToL aura bonus. The ToL bonus isn't big if and only if you are running with a prot paladin with improved devotion aura, otherwise it's a loss of 6% of your healing, and that's huge. The druid concern is not topping the DPS meter, it's about helping in every possible way when put into a certain encounter. Every bit of dps helps on gear checks and if you can assist, you should. Trees are not able to assist without being punished, and I think that's the primary concern.
