| Different people play the game for a variety of different reasons. Some people raid, others role play and some are strictly social. If you happen to talk to someone (even a GM) with a varied scope of what is fun than your own you shouldn't judge them for being different. Just got with the gag and have a good time with it. I have gotten the RP GM before, and while it is a bit goofy, it is funny to think that he thinks he is super whitty - with his pre-written scripts and formatted questions. I see through the facade and poke fun on my own time. lol | |

| I thought all the GMs had to talk in some sort of RP style.
I play on a PvP server where the idea of role play is scoffed at but the GMs will still sign off with some silly remark such as 'may your enemies break upon your shield' (whatever suits the class you play).
I believe this is Blizzard's attempt to lighten what is actual quite a formal process. In a way it's also meant to maintain your immersion in the game.
So as Stomp says, rather than get upset about their script just have some fun with it and imagine the poor guy/gal on the other end of that keyboard that probably feels just as uncomfortable having to type that stuff.

| I got one.
"The ground before cracks open and a being arises from the magma."
I chuckled. He was very helpful, and solved my issue quickly. I am glad that they can have a little fun in their job.

| :D personally i take great fun in doing my roleplay emotes while during down time while in raids.
as in hey sham, go in the back and wait, if a tank goes down pick it up..so just stay back and stick your thumb in your butt (my guild leader is awesome, period!).
after which the raid will see an emote along the lines of...
Shamrot sticks his thumb you know where, How odd that it slides right in...
Well i do not have the name dirty irish for nothing lol....hmm maybe i should read the rules a bit more b4 i offend and get a ban stick. of course if u cannot see the humor in that, then man i dont know lol.

| The RP emotes do get kinda annoying in raids... When they are over-used, I should say. As a matter of fact, my Gift of the Wild buff macro is in jest of a former guild member's annoying-ass Fortitude buff. | |
