Rogue Spreadsheets

Right, im going to start this off with two very basic questions and hopefully i'll learn enough for the more advanced questions.

Which one of rogue spreadsheets should i use on elitistjerks? (Aldriana, Vulajin or "SimulationCraft")

How do i open the spreadsheet and edit it?

There was an excellent guide posted on WOW Insider toay on using Aldriana's spreadsheet. It seems to me that if you are using a cookie cutter Combat or Mutilate spec it's the way to go but I am not sure. Now if you arent using a cookie cuter spec it seems like Vulajin gives you a few more options. I could be wrong on both counts, a rogue could give you a better idea which one you should go with.

Now to edit it just right click on it and save as. Once it's downloaded to your computer just open it like you would any other spreadsheet. If you don't have excel make sure to look for OpenOffice Versions and if they are avaialble, download OpenOffice. Hope that helps you get started.

Okay, now i've got somewhat of a hang of it but. How do i add my own gear?

which spreadsheet are you looking to add you gear to? I promise it won't take my 5 days to reply this time Smile

Right now im using the Roguecraft LK 0.4.7

All right, so the third tab is named "Gear" go to that tab. Cell A12 says "MH Weapon" and the value in B12 is "Webbed Death" so to change it, all you do is click on cell B12 and a drop down menu appears that has the different options, just select what you have and move on to the next slot, Off Hand weapon. Remember enchants, gems and other item enhancements are selected the same way.

Woah, i didnt even see the drop down menu! :D

But, Can i add my own gear? i mean, he has a few listed items but it's far from all and i can't seem to find my off hand in there
