| Hello guys, I would like to chime in with my 2 cents regarding achievments. I have heard a lot of discussion on the topic (most of it bad). My feelings about achievements is that it is something else to keep me interested in the game. I know that since I hit 80, I have been mostly raiding and gearing. Sometimes, I am not able or do not want to raid, but still want to play. In addition to leveling my alt, achievements keep me playing. While in the long run the are meaningless, it is still fun to do.

| MY opinion is similar, I find achievements a great way to keep me intrested in the game and a reward for revisiting older content. :D GJ Blizz | |

| I agree with you as well. It's not like you go through the game needing the achievements for anything. They're more of an entertainment extra that Blizzard added in and allows your friends to see all the things you have completed in the game. Heck, you could even start competitions to see who gets what achievement first or who can get more points than the other. There's just a huge number of things that you can do with the system. | |

| I am fairly confident that they have content patches, and expansions for that matter, fairly well developed well in advanced. lol Cute though.
Personally, I like achievements! It is definitely some time that I can focus extra energy on. I don't dwell on the list of crap like Haf does. But, it is nice to see us accomplish something beyond the norm.
The thing is, it isn't everyone's cup of tea. I see and hear players poop all over the system, and talk about how it is needless fluff on our already candy coated MMO. Meh, so what if it is. It's optional. Don't do them. To each his own. | |

| Personally, I am a fan of the achievement system. I'm just sorry they didn't implement it a long time ago. My only gripe is that the points really are worth nothing aside from saying you have them. I would love to see something implemented where you could use them as currency to buy something like vanity pets, goofy mounts, etc. or maybe some aesthetic changes for our characters. As I get more and more achievement points I realize just how hollow they are and I'd like something to make it not feel quite so much like a simple time sink. My DK is at 5575pts, I think... that's a lot of wasted time. Haf | |
