Sam F-ing Raimi! This could either be AWESOME or absolutely terrible (think Xena set in Warcraft).

This has me thinking that the Cataclysm thing might have more to do with the movie than the next expansion.

As interesting as the movie might be to WoW fans, I think it's going to need something a little extra to draw in the non-gamer crowd. They're going to look at the ads, think "Orcs and elves? WTF is this, a Lord of the Rings ripoff?" and vote Nay with their dollars.

Then again, even the Dungeons and Dragons movie got a sequel.
