BlizzCon 09

I was stoked when I heard about Blizzcon. I checked my schedule and it looked like I'd be in the clear to go, work-wise. I'd also had a prior "thumbs up" from the soon-to-be-Mrs-Rokk about going (she doesn't play but she's cool with my gaming... she's a keeper!) Time off, spousal approval, what could go wrong?

Stupid concert that I'd promised Mrs Rokk I'd take her to, like, years ago. AC/DC decided to come to town on the very day of Blizzcon. "Thunderstruck" indeed.

So while I pray for a quick advance in cloning technology, I pose the question (finally): Who's going?

I wish i could go but it is way to far away for me, and I will most likely rockin the big party at the the AC/DC concert here on Aug 6... so it isn't all that bad i guess!

We would LOVE to go. We just don't have the funds right now. Maybe next year!

The Elitists will be there... thinking of doing a contest where if you can find us with out elitist podcast tshirts you might get a prize

As much as i would like to go.. I'm in the same boat as Stomp and Haf.. just don't have the extra budget right now.

Won't be going to the event, but after seeing the murloc space marine pet, I may have to sell some plasma or something to order the online feed.

i want to go but a 17 hour flight (includes transfer) is terrible
besides, my parents wont let me go because they are busy
but a friend of mine is going and he keeps bugging me to ditch my parents and go with him

Went last year with my buddie and it was awesome. WOW Geeks unite! Stoked this year to go again. If you do go bring a good set of shoes and expect multiple trips back to your room to dumb the stuff off cause the back pack gets heavy.

Looks like I am going to need to camp the Blizz store site. Yea! All nighter.

So... any success stories on tickets this time around?

I'm not going. Too much time and $$ for me to swing this year. Plus, I think I'd go to Comic-Con first.

I did get the DirecTV pay per view coverage last year to see what I was missing. It looked like a lot of fun even if I thought the TV coverage sucked.
Maybe one of these days the Texas Lotto will be kind to me and I can retire and spend my time attending Blizzcon, Comic-Con, CES and everything else I want to do.
